Frizzled Ham

Ham fried until crisp and curled.

Writers seem to be remarkably fond of Frizzled Ham, presumably because it sounds so nice; it gets mentions in, among others, Bram Stoker's 'The Lady of the Shroud', in Lewis Carroll's 'Sylvie and Bruno' and Dicken's 'Edwin Drood'.
