Believed to have been devised by a Mrs Leng of York, known at least since reports of her sudden death in 'The York Herald' of Saturday 2 July 1836. The business of Fulford Biscuit making appears to have been continued by her son and grandsons, with considerable fame and success, from premises at 17 Saviourgate, York.
