No. 58.- Norwich Cakes.

2 lbs. flour. ¾ lb. sugar.
½ lb. butter. ½ lb. currants.
1 oz. cream of tartar. ½ oz. carbonate of soda.
4 eggs. Milk.

Mode. - Sift the cream and soda into the flour upon the board; cream up the butter and sugar, adding in the eggs; then mix in flour and currants with milk, and fill into square greased pans, about 3 ozs. for each cake, and bake in a moderate oven. 1d. each.
