Soft sugar paste in the form of stylized mice, often with string tails, typically 1 ½ ins long.

Known by this name at least since a reference in the 1867 book 'Gerty and May', "Mrs Dale tied on the presents and a great many pretty sugar plums and crackers and little sugar mice and cats"
