Cherry Batter Pudding.
Cherry batter pudding is nice for a change, and is generally liked by those who are unable to eat boiled suet crust. Mix one pint of milk and three tablespoonsful of flour to a smooth paste, add 1oz. of butter (melted), a little salt, three well-beaten eggs, and stir in 1 lb. cherries (stoned). Boil for two hours, and serve with wine sauce.
